We recently created a new semi-custom wedding invitation design, inspired by Art Nouveau! Our Art Nouveau wedding invitation design features flowing lines, organic forms, and elegant design elements, bringing some vintage charm to wedding stationery.

Our Take on Art Nouveau Wedding Invitations
Just like everything we do at Nicety Studio, our inspiration is just that; inspiration! We used our Art Nouveau inspiration lightly, looking at type and the way it's placed together on a wedding invitation to mimic an era or art movement.
With this wedding invitation design, it all started with the font. I'm not a huuuuge fan of display fonts, often finding them slightly gimmicky with the ability to go out of fashion way too quickly. This font however, felt timeless. I designed with so many variations of text placement and grids, finally settling on a layout that played with type hierarchy in a bold and confident way.
I loved the placement of text from the various images I was drawing inspiration from. From left aligned text to centered and justified, I wanted to use it all - and I did! You'll find the detail card uses a unconventional card size with text that spans the full width of the card. The RSVP Card (my favorite card) on the other hand, drew inspiration from an Art Nouveau motif, playing with ligatures to create something a little more artistically unique.
